Child Safety Standards

Our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)

Primal is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is absolutely prohibited on Primal. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for any attempt to use Primal to contact, groom, or harm a minor.

Our commitment

Last App Standing, LLC operates Primal, a dating app for adults. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation in all forms, we act on reports, and we report confirmed material and offenders to the relevant authorities. These standards apply to every part of the service: profiles, photos, messages, voice notes and venue listings.

Adults only — how we enforce it

  • Every member must enter a date of birth at sign-up and confirm they are 18 or over. Accounts that do not meet the minimum age cannot be created.
  • Selfie verification checks that the person using an account matches the photos on their profile.
  • Primal is rated for adults on the app stores and is not directed at, or marketed to, children.
  • If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we terminate it and delete its data.

What is prohibited

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawn, animated or AI-generated imagery.
  • Sexualisation of minors in photos, text, voice notes or profile content.
  • Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes.
  • Sextortion, trafficking, or the advertising, trading or solicitation of CSAM.
  • Accounts created or used by anyone under the age of 18.

Violating these rules results in immediate and permanent removal from Primal, and a report to the authorities where the law requires it.

Reporting in the app

Any member can report another member from their profile or from a chat, using Report. The reasons offered include "Underage account (under 18)", "Inappropriate or offensive photos" and "Safety concern during offline date". Reporting someone also blocks them immediately.

Reports reach our trust and safety queue for review. Accounts reported for child safety reasons are prioritised, and we suspend an account while we investigate where there is any credible concern.

How we respond

  • We review child safety reports as a priority, ahead of other report types.
  • We remove violating content and permanently ban the accounts responsible.
  • We preserve the relevant records as required by law so that investigators can act on them.
  • We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline, and to regional and national authorities where applicable.
